Welcome,
As the
pastor of Hood United Methodist, I’m delighted that you
have found our website, but I hope you won’t stop there,
as there is more to us than meets the monitor (if you
know what I mean
J
). To love like Jesus loves, that’s our goal, and
though I know that we could never achieve it all by
ourselves, with God’s help, all things are possible. So
if you would like to be a part of changing the world for
the better (by that I mean more loving, more hopeful,
more honest, more joyful, more compassionate) then come
be a neighbor at the “Hood”.

This is my 26th year of full time ministry
and I trust that God will continue to bless and guide us
as we love and serve Him. As a leader of the church, I
try to never ask someone to do something that I’m
unwilling to do myself. And though my example is not
always as ‘spotless’ as I might hope (I too need God’s
mercy and grace) I do try to live my life guided by His
love. I am constantly amazed at intricacy and power of
God’s Word, and my heart’s desire is that when I preach
God will use my voice to speak His words to His people.
I’m still learning everyday more of what it means to be
a child of God, and I invite you to join us in this
great adventure of faith.
